To do something a bit topical, I’ve compiled a list of the 10 best pandemic film scores of all time. However, the list is quite fluid with several of the scores on the final list able to swap positions on any given day as well as a half dozen or more additional scores that could have easily made the list. I first created a master list of pandemic films whose pandemics related to causes such as diseases, viruses, or bacteria. This meant some excellent scores, such as Sqürl’s The Dead Don’t Die or Nick Cave and Warren Ellis’ The Road weren’t up for consideration. Unfortunately, of the almost 100 films that did make the final list, many didn’t have scores, had scores that were never released, or had scores released in such a limited fashion that they weren’t readily available. Nonetheless, it stands as likely the most robust and comprehensive list of its kind out there. Read, enjoy, and listen!
