“The Film Scorer Podcast” – on offshoot from the written portion of The Film Scorer – has arrived. It focuses on long-form interviews with composers for film and other media, diving deep into the scores they have created and discovering the process behind their compositions (as well as just having a general chat!). Episodes typically release every two weeks. The podcast is also available on all major podcast streaming services, including Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and just about any other podcast app around, and “uncut” videos of many of the interviews are also available on YouTube. You can also find a bit of information on the show, each episode, and the guests on IMDb!
Among other things, Flicks listed The Film Scorer Podcast among its list of the eight best film podcasts while Feedspot and Octane Seating each listed it among the best film music podcasts and Podchaser listed it as one of the 50 podcasts to discover in May 2022 and June 2022 and one of 30 podcasts to discover in December 2022. The United States Library of Congress also includes The Film Scorer Podcast among its recommended resources for research into film music and film composers.
