Sofia degli Alessandri-Hultquist (aka Drum & Lace) joins The Film Scorer for the season 2 premiere! She talks about scoring hit tv shows Dickinson and Good Girls, facing positive reception for those shows (and the negative public response to the Netflix film Deadly Illusions), and the interrelationship between her scoring and solo music identities.

Find out more about Drum & Lace on her website. Dickinson is is currently available on Apple+, Good Girls‘s final season just finished on NBC, and Deadly Illusions is currently available on Netflix. Drum & Lace’s scores, as well as her full solo back catalog, are available on all major streaming platforms or on Bandcamp.

Drum & Lace began writing electronic music in the early 2010s, which led to extensive touring. Thereafter, she branched out into music for fashion, dance, and documentaries (including At the Heart of Gold). Drum & Lace has since, among other things, composed the music for both seasons of Dickinson and seasons 3 and 4 of Good Girls (both of which she co-composed with Ian Hultquist), as well as several other films and series. Her upcoming works include the Amazon series I Know What You Did Last Summer (also co-composed with Ian Hultquist) and several horror films.
